Sundays

Sunday mornings are our main family gathering! We meet every week from 10am to worship, pray, read the Bible, and get to know one another, with specific provision for our kids and young people.

Whether you’ve been a Christian your whole life, or are still exploring what faith might mean, you are so welcome to join us on a Sunday morning. You can expect a warm welcome from us whenever you swing by.

A typical Sunday starts with prayer and time spent worshipping God through music. Our kids will go out to their groups halfway through this time.

We often end this time of worship by praying, bringing the things we care about to God, believing that He hears us and is still working in the world today.

After this we take a couple of minutes to greet those around us, and get to know some new people! Our youth head to their group at this stage.

After this there will be a reading from the Bible, which a member of the team will then unpack and teach on for 20-25 minutes.

We then finish our service by responding in prayer and worship. If God has spoken to you or put something on your heart there will be an opportunity to receive prayer from one of our team as the service ends.

As we end the service the children and young people will rejoin us, and you can grab a tea, coffee, soft drink and biscuit from the back of church. The queue of people will be your clue where to head.

Why do we do all of those things though?

Worship

We take time every Sunday to sing praise to God, as a people grateful for His faithfulness to us, and proclaiming that He is worthy. As we do that God reveals Himself to us, through the presence of the Holy Spirit with us.

Bible

The Bible is the written word of God, and a place of revelation and encounter for us as Christians. It reveals eternal and scriptural truth to all who read and hear it.

Prayer

We pray because God is still at work in the world today. Prayer is just one way that we align our desires with God’s desires, and partner with Him in the renewing of the world. We believe bold prayers honour God, and have testimonies of healing, freedom and new life found in Jesus. We pray for one another as the Church has done since its inception.

Hospitality

We want to be a people who do faith together! We make space in all of our gatherings for people to connect with one another so that we can support, encourage and champion each other on in our journeys of faith.

  • You are so welcome to turn up to any of our Sunday services. There is no need to book ahead or pay anything.

  • There is no dress code at St Paul’s; feel free to wear what you feel most comfortable in.

  • We have a car park in front of the church.

  • We welcome anyone with accessibility requirements and will endeavour to accommodate any needs you may have.

    The main entrance to our building has a ramp, so access is step free, as is the rest of the sanctuary space.

    We have an inclusive toilet that anyone can use that has accessibility provision for wheelchair users.

    Our service is also accessible through a hearing loop, so for hearing aid users with that option, you can connect to it during our service.
